PRESENTATION

I hold a doctorate in contemporary British civilisation and am qualified for CNU section 11. My PhD thesis, entitled ‘Euroscepticism, Party Politics, and Political Gain: A Comparative Analysis of the UK and France from Maastricht to Brexit’, studied the impact of EU integration on political competition in mainstream parties in the United Kingdom and France. My research focuses on UK-EU relations, post-Brexit UK politics, Europeanisation and Euroscepticism. I am a member of both the SAES and CRECIB.
My teaching covers UK political institutions, UK foreign policy, the political context of European integration, Euroscepticism among political elites and the public, and the institutions and policies of the European Union. I supervise masters dissertations on a range of subjects, including the Europeanisation of EU member state politics and policies, and public perceptions of European integration.
Both my research and teaching allow me to call on the multidisciplinary nature of my studies: following undergraduate and post-graduate studies in law, I practiced as a solicitor, before completing a masters degree in international relations.
Since 2016, I have been director of studies of the Masters 2 programme ‘Management de projets de cooperation internationaux et multilingues’ (IRIUS – Institut de Relations internationales de l’Université de Strasbourg). I have been director of the IRIUS since January 2025.
